The record for making the highest score in T20 is currently in the name of Nepal who scored 314 runs for three wickets against Mongolia. Apart from this, in 2019, Afghanistan scored 278 runs against Ireland in the match played in Dehradun. This is the second highest score in T20 and the highest score in this format in India. Hyderabad’s score against Mumbai is the second highest T20 score in India.

Hyderabad’s Abhishek and Travis Head have also registered a unique achievement. Before the match against Mumbai, no batsman from this team had ever completed a half-century in less than 20 balls, but first Head and then Abhishek did this feat in a single match. Abhishek and Head are the first batsmen in IPL history to complete half-centuries in less than 20 balls while playing for the same team.

The record of making the most runs in the first 10 overs for Hyderabad

This is the highest score made by any team in so many overs in IPL. Earlier, Punjab Kings scored 131 runs in the first 10 overs in 2014 and Mumbai Indians in 2021.

Hyderabad crossed the 200 mark in 14.4 overs against Mumbai. This is the second fastest double century in IPL history. Prior to Hyderabad in 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had crossed the 200-run mark in 14.1 overs the fastest.

An unwanted record was added to the name of Mumbai Indians bowler Kwena Mfaka during this time. Mafaka scored 66 runs in four overs in this match and failed to take a single wicket.
